Yes folks, it's the end of the line for Ford's senior line of standard passenger cars. The Mercury Grand Marquis has already left the stage and the Lincoln Town Car will bow out later this year.

Big car sales declined during the 90's only because of even bigger trucks. Ford's own F-150 reached levels of luxury that even Lincoln couldn't touch, especially in King Ranch trim. And you can bet that fat, aging baby boomers needed F-150s and Expeditions generous interior space.

Wonder what's the next big-ass-mobile my generation will drool over on it's way to the nursing home?

This does suck. There's very little I like anymore in terms of new cars these days. The luxobarges always were my favorite cars. Most cars these days are bland boring transportation appliances, might as well be riding a conveyor belt everywhere.

I've seen the po-po move to other vehicles

Intrepids, F-OneShitties, Tahoes, Impalas, Chargers, Dakotas, new Tauruses, etc. Last I heard LA still has a stockpile of crown vics.

I've heard the old people either went back to Buick or drive Lexuses now.
