Is it time yet for an early 2000s section?

ActionBastard 1 year 8 months ago Posts: 4903	I'd like to see an early 2000's section just because there was lots of cool shit back then thats not even relevent anymore (since that seems to be such a big deal). The world was totally different in the early to mid 2000's. It was a time before all these social networks and your fancy apple ieverythings. We had gamecubes and ps2's where you actually plug the controller into the console. There was still some good music in the mainstream. All Thats just the tip of the iceberg, I can think of alot more stuff that has changed. Might not be a significant enough change for You but all I know is I totally miss the early 2000's, those were some of the best years of my life. Maybe some of yous guys were just too old to really enjoy the 2000's decades or have as much nostalgia for them like someone of a younger age would. Either way, a 2000's section on this site is inevitable, it's gonna happen sooner or later.

But since it's not a "decade" (([u] it's kinda like a little in between pocket in time that was not like the 90s at all but at the same time not like today[/u])) It's probably not going to get a section because it really isn't "retro" to most people ( even I agree it's not ) here even though "retro" is more of an opinion.

ActionBastard 1 year 8 months ago Posts: 4903	Man, alot of people sure hate the 2000's. I personally loved them (for the most part, especially the early and mid 2000's). Sure the 2000's brought the downfall of quality in television and music but does that really matter in life? If anything, this decade is shaping up to be crappy for me (don't know about you). Not really crappy just I've got alot more responsibilities and stuff now a days.

DeliGuy 1 year 8 months ago Posts: 2852	Here's my take on it all... I loved the 80's and 90's. Music was better. TV was better. Movies were better. Fashion though different was at least somewhat original. Also with those decades came less responsibility for me being a kid. There was a sense of freedom that I no longer have with a wife, kids and bills! Now that being said. I didn't have a woman till 2004! I married that woman in 2008. I have some great memories and better times from the 2000's than the 90's and 80's and the only way I could go back in time is if the wife went with me! However as far as overall culture that defines a decade outside of my own family, I don't have any great memories from the 2000's. It was fun with the newer game systems (I hadn't been so excited about a game since the Sega when the Wii first came out!), but that was about it... Nothing else stands out.
