K-Tel have been pumping out albums like this since the early 80's. They call their series Mini Pops.

    The horror....the horror:

Just for my own morbid curiosity I checked out the track listing for the Kidz Bop Beatles album. Budget Beatles tribute albums usually feature exclusively McCartney written songs most of the time. I see on the Kidz Bop release exactly one George song, one John song, two John and Paul co-writes and everything else is solid McCartney.

I thought of making a parody of the Kidz Bop Commercials and have one called Kidz Bop Heavy Metal, where kids sing songs by Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, and AC/DC! (The Kidz Bop Kids would call "Highway to Hell", "Highway to Heck").

I just hope the Kidz Bop People don't read this...they may get ideas!

Yes, because corporate executives CONSTANTLY roam around the likes of RetroJunk.com to find the latest and greatest ideas for awesomeness!

In the 80s commercial it looks like they covered a Madness song. There is a Madness album parody picture on it.

That's not likely to happen. Those three groups aren't what most people consider to be pop music.
