    Anyone seen the preview to the upcoming preview to Carpenter's 1982 masterpiece?

    God damn, they have a preview for a preview? Thats nuts.

    Now instead of just doing remakes, hollywood decided to just focus on more prequels and continuations of old movies that generally destroy the franchise good name but that doesnt matter as long as it has enough cgi effects to draw you into the theater and purchase your overpriced tickets. It's not about making a quality film anymore, it is only about making profits.

    1982's movie was NOT the original, have you seen the original 1951 movie The Thing from another World? the 1982 movie was a remake itself but a more faithful adaptation of the novella "Who Goes There" by John Campbell
