Is it just me? Music comparison.

    		 Ok, so Train (Keep your pants on ladies) has a new song out titled, Save Me, San Francisco. Well, as soon as I heard it, it reminded me of the old 80's classic by J. Gelis Band- Centerfold.

    Here are the two songs-

    It's not so much the instrumentals as it is the tempo. Especially in the beginning it seems as if both singers are using the same vocal temp.

    Thoughts?

    		 I can sense some similarities between the two. They do have similar pacing and a like-minded subject matter, but I think the difference is in the phrasing. Pat Monahan's vocals are clean-cut, while Peter Wolf's voice was a little more ragged, as befitted a lot of the J. Geils Band's material.

    		 The opening riff/beat of The Beautiful People (Marilyn Manson) always reminded me of the opening riff/beat of Children of the Grave (Black Sabbath).
