OK, so, it's been out a while now.

Serious question; have we FINALLY been given a zombie film with the true feel a zombie film should have?

There have been oh-so many bullshit zombie films for years now. Really piss-poor ones, but finally, someone made a film that has been made for zombie fans, as opposed to film fans.

Anyone else into zombie films? Fans of De Ossario, Fulci and of course, Romero...?

This movie failed to keep my attention and I didn't feel for or relate to any of the characters.

[REC] isn't a zombie movie. See the sequel.

I thought that Zombieland mixed new elements into the genere.

It was interesting to find out on the Zombieland commentary track that the movie itself was the original premise of a show that would later be The Walking Dead. I for one loved the actual graphic novels of WD, but the show was a little too melodramatic for my tastes. Too bad Zombieland couldn't just be an ongoing show with new "survivors" every week. They could overlap storylines, kill off anybody, it'd be rad. Also, of course, "zombie kill of the week".

The Walking Dead TV series lost me at the hardass gangstas protecting senior citizens shit. Why can't they just stick to the story.
