Mario & Link: Re-imagined

I had been goofing off, putting together a team of Nintendo Heroes. Re-designing them and putting them together. . . like a Nintendo version of The Avengers. These are the first two teammates I've completed.

Mario looks like the plumber of the future. Good drawings though.

Those drawings definitely look amazing. Of course, you have a lot of experience with drawing, so it comes naturally. The only thing I would add to the drawing of Mario is either a cigarette or a cigar...I just think it would complete the look of a bruiser.

Thanks everyone. You're right Caps, that would be a nice final touch.

I had envisioned Mario as a bit of a bruiser but with plenty of engineering skills to create various torturous weaponry with which to dispatch his enemies. Link would be more of the sword & sorcery type (of course), using magical items and his magical sword, along with great dexterity and reflexes.

Using an Avengers comparison, I suppose Mario would be like an unkempt Captain America with a bad attitude and Link would be a wimpy version of Thor, with a little Hawkeye thrown in.

When the next teammate is finished, I'll be sure and post it. ;)

I have never seen a decent Mario and Link revamp since Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and I thought that Mario and Link (among others) were pretty decent. A+ for that Ghost of Vapor. :D
