    The government may not be able to make the minimum payment on the debt next month. If this happens it could mean big economic problems. Rather than cutting spending Obama wants to raise the debt ceiling. He also wants to raise taxes which will just raise the cost of everything and cost more jobs.

    		 Isn't our "debt" in like, moot money? We owe gazillions, and so do other countries, so in theory, it's just a wash.

    They are already doing that which is why the value on the dollar keeps going down. When you have too much of anything in circulation it loses value. Lowering the national debt is the only solution and it will raise the value on the dollar.

    Can I do that with my credit card bills to lower my payment?
