I know this is kind of old news. After all the list was made in 2008, but I thought I'd talk about it anyway. Did anyone here on RJ read this list? Well, I did and I thought some of it was okay, but some of it needed to be fixed. Here are my problems with the list:
Shows that were placed too low:
Dexter's Laboratory
Johnny Bravo
Rugrats
Darkwing Duck
Freakazoid!
Shows that were higher than they deserve to be:
Family Guy
South Park
SpongeBob SquarePants
Beavis and Butt-Head
Naruto
Transformers
Robot Chicken
Shows that weren't even in the list, but needed to be:
Earthworm Jim
Rocko's Modern Life
Ed, Edd n Eddy
The Angry Beavers
Hey Arnold!
Sonic the Hedgehog (SatAM)
Cartoon Planet
The Brak Show
Top Cat
Garfield and Friends
I also wouldn't count Looney Tunes; Tom and Jerry; Popeye and the like as animated TV shows. Sure they did air on TV, but they were originally in theaters, therefore they shouldn't count.
But other than that, the list is okay. I'm happy to see The Critic make the list, and I'm very pleased to see The Ren & Stimpy Show make the top 15. If you haven't read it here's the link: http://tv.ign.com/top-100-animated-tv-series/index.html |
