You get offended too easily IMHO. I take our debates in stride and never get offended except when you flat out insult me like you just did for no reason. I know you're much younger than me so that is be expected to a degree I suppose. You're in the far left wing, new age mindset. I know because I used to think a lot like you and hung around people like you. It was always drama and I was never happy for long. I knew something wasn't right and started looking at the big picture on issues which is why I think the way I do now.
All due respect I wish you would just ignore my post if I bother you that much. Somehow I always find myself feeling like a bad person when you post in a thread towards me. When it comes to religion and politics there is going to be a difference with someone old enough to be your dad.

i consider myself more of a moderate than a liberal. i am definitely liberal on particular issues (gay marriage, gun control laws, and a few more) but i'm actually quite conservative when it comes to the economy and fiscal issues the country faces. my problems with you are not only with your political views. i actually used to be fond of you and had no qualms with you; lately you have been irritating and offensive to me.

"people like you" is an automatic red flag in conversation. you draw your own conclusions as to who i am and you generalize without being properly informed. you don't know me, the reason i get offended every time i speak with you is because you act like you do. the only drama i really face in my life is all very personal and health-related, i find all other aspects of my life to be quite peaceful.
i do think in broader terms than you give me credit for. we've always ended up discussing the topics i do have a left-wing opinion on. my parents are extremely liberal and i live in california, it's admittedly difficult to avoid liberal beliefs being constantly given to you as the truth, but i am smart enough to look at both sides of the spectrum. i do not base my political beliefs off of the beliefs of those i am surrounded by, that's just silly.
you are much older than me, from somewhere else, and have a completely separate life. i disagree with you on many political topics but my problems with you are not strictly with your political views.
don't speak of or to me as though you know me. you think in generalizations, i think of the individual. everyone is entitled to their own opinion, just stop drawing your conclusions as to who i am according to the beliefs and ways of people my age.
i don't believe you mean to offend me. i believe you don't realize how what you say can offend others. speak to me as an individual in a way that does not accidentally offend and i will respond respectfully.
I thought I apologized about that and thought I made what I was trying to say very clear in the end. You're holding grudges aginst me for stuff that is said in the Real World forum. You really shouldn't post there if you can't leave your feelings there.
