I'd say my parents probably have liberal views (maybe, I dunno). They're not against gays or people who are different, for one and that's usually associated with "liberals", but, I was still disciplined whenever I did something wrong, was taught "personal responsibility", etc. What do you call that?
I believe that it's important to let everyone have their own thoughts and be allowed to express oneself in his or her own way, but with limitations. I mean, if it's inappropriate or offensive, of course nip it in the bud, ya know, and teach them to be considerate of others.
