one of the most successful shows on nickelodeon from mid 2000. the story followed a bunch of elemental-powered monks who are at war with one of the tribes of the country known as the fire nation. out of desperation, two children of the water tribe find the avatar, a superior monk who must learn the elemental powers of water, earth and fire to take down the fire nation and its general. the series to me was very enjoyable, had great plots, and interesting characters that had shown up throughout the show. if you haven't seen book 3, i recommend that you check it out. all of the loose ends are tied up and it ends with a bang

They had this Avatar marathon a while back and I could not turn away from the ending. That's what a final battle should be like. Damn.

This show was really, really good. One of the best cartoons from the mid-00's. But that 2010 live-action M. Night Shamalyn movie The Last Airbender was horrible. Well, I guess it joins the long list of bad live-action adaptations of cartoons.
