This episode covers one of the most earliest games done by Hal. He plays through Day Dreamin' Davey, a game where you play as a character who is supposedly daydreaming the levels.

I thought it was a decent episode to start 2011. Definitely better than his Lester the Unlikely episode.

I wish he'd review games we've heard of like his Simon's Quest review.....or something even remotely good/bad/controversial.

I propose Ghosts n' Goblins or Adventure Island.

    Come on James!

    This was a good episode.

You gotta understand with the AVGN. He had that Monster Madness thing back in October, and he didn't have much time to work on the Lester the Unlikely review.

    DayDreamin' Davey?
I actually own a copy of that game by the way. Unlike the Angry Video Game Nerd, I actually liked playing DayDreamin' Davey when I printed up a walkthrough for it (so I can clearly understand the story and the game's point).

By the way, HAL Labs never developed DayDreamin' Davey, it was HAL America Inc. that published the game while Sculptured Software developed the game.

For the parts where you have to clash against large gun wielding bandits, get your Zapper Light Gun ready and aim for his right arm before he lifts his gun! Proof that I played this game before and knew about this.

Overall, I'd give DayDreamin' Davey a 8.7 out of 10 as my final verdict. It was a fine episode, but you're hearing this from a guy who actually owns a copy of the game.

Ummm, what's your point? James owns the game too, that doesn't make your opinion any more valid than his. And even if he didn't, that wouldn't change anything.

well i'd rather watch a review of a game that i don't know about all that much rather than one i've seen and played so many times. it does get boring after seeing reviews for games that i've known about for a long time
