Well I knew this was coming. The Loonatics, "the EXTREEEEEEME version of the looney tunes" has a new look now...

    http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=3843

So now they've gone from this:

    l
    l
    l
    l
    l
    V
    To this:

........ HOLY FRICKIN' CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!! They've turned into DBZ... Animals?

If you haven't seen the first promo (which got the hell beat out of it by all the people who ripped on it) Here's the first promo: http://www.toonamiarsenal.com/misc/lf/LoonaticsPreview.mov

And Newgrounds made an "interesting" parody of it that was kinda funny:

*WARNING* Lots of foul language in this one
    http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/223809

And the second one is even funnier:

    http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/243842

P.S. If anyone finds the Promo for the new version That'd be nice to see on here too. So we may all gawk at how low WB can go.

It looks like crap. Even DBZ looks better (and yes I hate DBZ). No wonder that 12 year old kid made that site to stop them from making it. Too bad for him that it looks like he failed.

If I had to choose, I would choose the newer ones over the older ones. They're jumping on the quasi-anime bandwagon, just like everyone else. That doesn't nessesarily bother me. before, they just looked scary...at least now they look like the superheros they're supposed to be. Still, after all is said and done, I prefer the old loony toons, but then again, things change with the times, and that's not completely bad. I think we're going to have to wait and count this egg once it's hatched.

Warner Brothers needs to learn that it's not the characters fault that the last couple of movies haven't done well it's the crappy writing. Whatever happened to the Termite Terrance days?

Did the people who thought up this new crap even look at the characters to think up their powers. Laser beam eyes and martial arts...what did Hong Kong Phooey and Cyclops from the X-Men have a love child. Slick the Wiley Coyote character with Wolverines abiltiy...why isn't he the gadget guru of the group. Duck...what kind of freakin' name is that...built in sonar, why don't they just have a bat. And now they've drawn pupils in their eyes and given them smile to make them friendlier...oh that's so much better. And I can't wait to see who they fight the redone versions of Yosemite "Tex " Sam with his four arms and advanced weapons and Elmer "The Brain" Fudd with mind powers (just pulling those off the top of my head). I apologize for the long rant, but gheesh when will the madness end.
Ronald McDonald is just a second rate Bozo!

To be brutally honest I detested the idea of doing this to the original character designs of the Looney Tunes. BUT, I will not form a solid opinion of this show yet, and will not until I see a few episodes. But for right now, they need to pull off some seriously nice story lines and at least some competant character lines that I can respect before I even start to like this idea.

You never know, it could be the next Tiny Toons :?

What's the point of giving the Looney Tunes superpowers anyway? They already HAVE superpowers. The real Looney Tunes aren't limited to just one or two abilities. They can do anything they damn well please no matter how improbable or impossible and they cannot be killed no matter what you do to them.
Bugs Bunny alone could probably take on the combined forces of the DC and Marvel universes and end up kicking everyone's ass. He's Bugs freaking Bunny and he does not lose.

Well in the article they have the story's one Possible redeeming twist, these guys are the descendants of the original Looney Tunes, not the actual characters in some mutated form. I was glad to hear that at least :?
