from 1995 to 1999, crystal dynamics had a short lived mascot by the name of gex, voiced by old school comedian dana gould. the plot of the games has a concept that hasn't been used very much, as gex was transported into different channels into the television world called the "media dimension". even with the series no longer having a status in having any sequels or a comeback, it still has a balanced fanbase among game players

There should be more games that has a plot as good as the one Gex has. Whatever happened to Crystal Dynamics anyway?

i think their company faded away quietly, just as shiny entertainment did. as for the plot, the game "garfield: caught in the act" and the 1992 movie "stay tuned" follow the same kind, but they're the only other two that i know of that go by the same concept. i wanted to write a story of the same concept for my character since it seemed like a fun concept to work on

I saw an episode of Garfield and Friends called The Lasagna Zone, it had a concept similar to Garfield: Caught in the Act.
