Before he died, Jackson was the butt of every joke. He was called weird. He was called strange. He was called a pedophile. He was called eccentric. People made fun of him. But after he died, everyone came out of the woodwork praising and declaring their love for him. He was called a genius. He was called the King of Pop all over again. Any kind of jokes toward him was blasphemy.

You know what I call those people? Hypocrites.

The guy was weird, strange, a pedophile, and eccentric. Just because a person dies, doesn't change those facts. You can also add in there drug addict. He was a drug addict. He overdosed on pain killers. No one forced him to do it. No one put a gun to his head made him inject himself. Michael Jackson overdosed on accident.

Now people will say, "But he was never convicted of pedophilia." Yeah? And? The evidence is still there. The reason why he was never convicted, he paid the victims families off. Ray Charles could see that.

The guy was a hack and a has been. He has a few good hits. But ultimately, the rest of his career was utter shit.

I agree with you a thousand percent, before he died he was the easiest joke to get a laugh from and after he died he was the king of pop again and it was a travesty, people completely changed their opinions about him once again turning the deceased into angels. Michael Jackson also owned a good portion of The Beatles music and after he died, Beatles Rockband came out and itunes finally had the rights to sell Beatles music. Also actual Beatles recordings could be used in feature films like The Social Network, where as before it was near impossible. The remainder of the talentless Jackson family continues to sponge the success of their dead sibling.

A few years back Michael sold most of his Beatles rights to Sony to recoup the costs of keeping the real parents of his kids quiet, various lawsuits and poor sales of Invincible. I remember I used to see displays of Invincible cds at grocery and convenience stores all the time.

Thriller is supposed to be this amazing album but the group Toto was doing most of the work and got little to no credit or praise for their efforts.

The older those kids get, the less they look anything like him. Not that they looked like him to begin with.

I don't see why some fans get personal when they see an MJ joke. They started ever since he became white/light skin and most of this cry baby-fans were not even born yet.

A big THANK YOU to you, DebrisStorm.

I've been observing how people had the change of heart when he died. Suddenly radio stations started playing his music more on the radio, suddenly people started to worship him, and the list goes on like you said. I always thought his 'fans' were somewhat hypocrites after he died.

I call this sort of shit recreational grieving. It's been going on ever since Lady Di got killed. Everytime a celeb dies the world shuts down. Yet these people can't be bothered to so little as send a damn sympathy card when somebody they actually knew dies. Oh no it's much too inconvenient to be bothered putting in an appearance at the visitation for one of their own relatives yet they'll be glued to the damn idiot box watching maudlin interviews and the funeral procession to the cemetery.

And then we see commemorative merch by the barrel full. All kinds of tacky doodads, dolls, and coins that will be cluttering every garage sale 3 years later right alongside a Big Mouth Billy Bass, naked barbies, McDonald's happy meal toys, and countless 8 tracks and VHS tapes.

Don't get me wrong I feel bad for their family and friends. But life goes on. I'm not gonna waste mine mourning people I don't know and who probably have no concept I even exist.

I think you actually trace it back a bit further to the deaths of Elvis Presley and John Lennon. Colonel Tom Parker and Yoko Ono were real pioneers/ grave robbers in the Grieving Inc industry.

I think the problem is people aren't differentiating the man from the music. His questionable past is covered up by his songs. Bad person? That's up to you. Good music? Fact.

Besides the fact he was a pedophile...his songs did pretty much stand out from other artists' songs.

I think he was more of an entertainer than a singer. I admit his shows/concerts were spectacular but the songs were not that good.

Still the fans need to let him cuddle with the soft-skin cherubs.

I agree with you about the sudden change of heart with the so-called "fans" of Michael that came out the woodwork once he died. None of them were there during his final years and it was just convenient for them to "admit their fandom" once the trial was done and they had a reason to get all fake emotional and act like they gave a crap about the dude (which happens with all our celebrities, really. Fans don't care unless you have a mega hit or die). I was never a drooling psycho MJ fan, but I did appreciate the dude's talent. He's no Mozart, and from a technical music standpoint, his actual music is pretty simplistic. But for those people that don't want to be uppity jaded douchebags, he made his songs jazzy, upbeat, and fun to listen to. His epic dancing just made him that much more entertaining to people. He wouldn't be rockin a guitar solo or doing a buncha experimental underground shit, but that's not what he was about. He's quintessential pop: Not that complicated, but still fun as hell nonetheless. If you don't like pop music in general then of COURSE you won't like someone like Mike because he embodied the genre to a tee.

And seriously. Just drop the damn pedophilia thing already. I know you're smarter than that, Debris.

Yes obviously the guy grew up fucked in the head and way too childish for his own good. If you've heard ANYTHING about the guy's past, you'd know how much of a dick his dad was pretty much beating the talent outta him and his brothers when they were the Jackson 5 at what, age 8, and was pretty much THE biggest thing in America ever since. (think Justin Bieber, The Beatles, and Avatar, and times it by like 50x with cameras and paparazzi and following him around 24/7 for, oh, 30 years). The dude never had a childhood (or a normal life AT ALL for that matter) and incorrectly tried to recapture it with his weird behavior and Neverland Ranch, reaching out to anybody that could help him feel the least bit normal. That's why he acted like he was on multiple bong/LSD shots everytime we saw him.

As for the trials themselves...dog and pony shows. Plain and simple. How many times are you gonna change your fucking stories around to get around what the defense just proved you wrong with?
"I was with my friend n his roo....No, I was with my sister at this place and....now wait, it was when my mom and I were at that place and....oh, I didn't notice that mark I conveniently forgot to mention when I was described his genitals...oh wait he didn't have any? I totally knew that! I could never forget!! Srsly!"
So yeah, these so called victims couldn't keep the multiple stories their welfare parents told them straight. But let's blame "trauma" here, amirite amirite?

And let's just say the kids/parents WEREN'T full of crap. Let's say all the "evidence" such as the alleged locks on doors and the poo-on-wall rooms and the blowup dolls and all that other stuff WAS totally true and not just heresay or circumstantial evidence and there was without a shadow of a doubt that MJ clearly grazed his hands across these boys' penises. (What wimps...try being on of those catholic church kids  ).

If the parents' took "hush" money, then they're WAY more fucked up than MJ could EVER be. That'd mean they pretty much pimped out their kids. They allowed someone to sexual molest their kids for money. The kids don't get the money, the parents do. Pimps. Any half fucking decent parent who honestly believed someone molested their child wouldn't even think about taking ANY amount of money from the molester, no matter how rich or famous he is. Hell that'd just inspire them even MORE the fight the fight and to never shut the fuck up trying to get justice and take him down since it's gonna be them vs. superpowerful lawyers. Not go into hiding as soon as you get your paycheck. Or kill yourself once the alleged abuser died like Evan Chandler, the dad of Jordan Chandler of '93 did. (Wouldn't you be happy the guy who touched your kid was dead?). If the parents of the abused keep acting like shady manipulative douchebags, maybe, JUST MAYBE they were and the celebrity dwellers of the internet automatically hate JUST MAYBE might be telling the truth?

Oh wait nevermind he's popiular and weird and I like bands 3 other people on Earth have heard of, therefore I'm better than that celebrity so fuck them.

So yeah. Fuck those trials, fuck those wimpy kids, fuck those pimp parents, fuck all the stupid bullshit media obsessed with Jackson then and now. Being under the world's magnifying class all his life made him jussssssssst a bit unstable, what a shock. No need to remind me of that every 10 fucking seconds.

    1st rant of 2011 FTW.
