Just look at rules:
"General:
1. Do not respond to threads that have not been responded to for over one month. Old threads are kept for reference, but are not to be responded to without permission from a moderator or administrator unless the topic is a important, sticky topic.
2. Do not double post. Double posting is the act of posting two or more responses in a row to a single thread. To avoid this, modify the previous post or, to add an attachment, copy your previous post, delete it, and repost your previous post with the attachment. The only exception to this rule is when two or more attachments are being posted. In this case, it is allowed to post multiple attachment-bearing posts in a row. In any other case, double posting will result in both posts being deleted. There is no other reason to double post. It will not be allowed.
3. Creating duplicate accounts will result in the deletion of both accounts and the possible banning of all connected information under them. Duplicate accounts are not necessary on YaBB. It is possible to change the display name under the user profile and retrieve the password to a previous account.
4. Spamming will not be tolerated. Whether through posts in the Captain N Forum or the sending of messages to users, spamming will result in the offending user being muted indefinitely or banned. Report any cases of spam to an administrator and they will respond to it.
5. Excessive, or improper and tasteless use of YaBBC tags will result in removal of offending posts and, in more serious or recurring cases, administrative action. YaBBC tags should be used as accents, not for the entirety of messages.
Speech:
1. The attempt of typing with proper spelling, punctuation, captalization, and grammar is required. While foreign users will be granted slightly more consideration, it is expected that all users will at the very least type with proper use of the 'simple' punctuation marks of the period (.), question mark (?), comma (,), and apostrophe ('
. If more 'advanced' punctuation is used to better illustrate the flow of the writing, (something highly encouraged of all users,) then more leeway will be given in regard to these punctuation marks. Capitalization of proper names, such as "Kevin" or "English", is expected, as is the capitalization of words such as "I". It is the discretion of the moderators and administrators to determine if an attempt is truly being made.
2. Excessive abbreviation likened to text messaging via cellphones will not be tolerated. While cellphones generally impose a small limit to the length of a message, the current maximum message length on the Captain N Forums would result in a fifty page document at a ten point font size with Times New Roman. There is no need for excessive abbreviation such as "u" for "you" or "ur" for "your" because of this message limit, and to type otherwise would be a sign of a lack of common courtesy - basic respect - towards other members of the Captain N Forum.
3. Hateful and derogatory slang will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to epithets of a sexual, racial, or religious nature.
4. Needless or excessive profanity is not allowed. A minimal level of profanity is allowed, but continuous profane or vulgar expression is not.
5. The censoring of words may not be circumvented. Attempts to circumvent the censoring of specific words will result in being muted or banned.
6. Auto-corrected words are to be properly corrected by the poster. Failing to correct words that are auto-corrected in red may result in the offending post being deleted by the discretion of the administrators and moderators. Failing to correct words that are auto-corrected in blue will generally not result in the offending post being deleted, but continued refusal to correct such errors, especially when requests have been made by an administrator or moderator, may ultimately result in this occurring.
Avatars:
1. Avatars may be no larger than 16 KB. The encouraged maximum size of any avatar is 10 KB, but avatars slightly larger than this will be tolerated.
2. Avatars hosted on a website other than CaptainN.net may not be used without permission from the website on which the avatar is being hosted. The theft of bandwidth from other websites will not be tolerated.
3. Avatars hosted on CaptainN.net may not be linked for use on other websites or forums. The theft of bandwidth from CaptainN.net will not be tolerated.
4. Animated avatars that are considered to be distracting may not be used. It is the discretion of the moderators and administrators to determine whether or not an avatar is distracting, but animated avatars that use fast, jumpy animation, animation that jumps back to a previous state to repeat, or animation that has color that changes rapidly are all likely to cause this label.
Signatures:
1. No signature may use more than six lines of text if that signature is without an image, or two lines of text with an image. While the length of a line may be up to the maximum length of a signature, no signature may exceed this number through the use of linebreaks.
2. A signature image may be no larger than 20 KB in file size, nor any larger than 28,080 pixels in area, with maximum combinations of 540x52 pixels and 312x90 pixels representing this limit at maximum limits for width and height and 468x60 pixels being the suggestion. While smaller sizes are encouraged, this maximum may not be exceeded.
3. No more than one image may be used in the signature. While PHP scripts may be used to deliver a rotating signature, no more than one signature may be displayed concurrently in any signature.
4. Animated signature images that are considered to be distracting may not be used. It is the discretion of the moderators and administrators to determine whether or not an signature image is distracting, but animated signature images that use fast, jumpy animation, animation that jumps back to a previous state to repeat, or animation that has color that changes rapidly are all likely to cause this label.
File Attachments:
1. Images that are pornographic or offensive are not allowed. Any user who posts such images will be banned immediately for pornographic images and suspended from posting for a time and length to be decided upon by moderators and administrators.
2. Attachments hosted on CaptainN.net may not be linked for use on other websites or forums. The theft of bandwidth from CaptainN.net will not be tolerated.
Offsite Linking:
1. Direct display of offsite images may only be done with permission from the website from which the image is linked. A URL may be given if permission is not given or available, but the display of the image may only be done if permission is given.
2. Other websites may be linked if the content of the linked website does not grossly violate the rules of the Captain N Forum. Websites that violate the rules of the Captain N Forum in a minor way may generally be linked, but it is up to the discretion of the moderators and administrators of this forum for ultimate decision on this matter.
Polls:
1. Polls may not be created by users with less than fifty posts. If a user with less than fifty posts wishes to create a poll, request can be made of a moderator or administrator to give permission to create such a poll.
2. Excessive or undue creation of polls will not be tolerated. While the creation of one poll for a specific matter is reasonable, creation of multiple polls over a short period of time is not allowed.
3. Neutrality should be displayed in the options for poll responses. Polls that either do not allow a reasonable positive-neutral-negative response or that are created in a way as to cause bias in answers will be removed."
