I never cared much for George Michael's songs during the 80s,but in 1990 he released his best song:

    George Michael - Freedom! '90

Freedom '90 was all about how fed up he was with record labels and stardom in general. An extreme oddity back then and ever since.

Very unusual but an excellent song indeed.

Here's my turn to fess up too.

I'm not a big Amy Grant fan but she sang a duet with Vince Gill that I like very much. When I first heard it it sounded old school. Now when I hear it, I kinda tear up a little.

LOL, I've always liked that song, too. Used to have it on my MP3 player.

One late 90s song I do like is Blink-182's "What's My Age Again?", which is from their 1999 album Enema of the State.

This weeks issue of The Stranger (Seattle's Alternative Newspaper) has a cover that proclaims,
"20 years ago an album came out that changed Everything Forever".

Well I thought they were referring to "Nevermind" by Nirvana.

    Surprise, surprise!

The album in question turned out to be,

"Of the Heart, of the Soul and of the Cross: The Utopian Experience" by PM Dawn.

WTF? At least I think one song has earned a spot on Best Songs of the 1990's!

PM Dawn - "Set Adrift On A Memory Bliss" - 1991:
