Wow Lepew, look at you posting Mayhem and Burzum (when you care enough to want only the heaviest metal, lol).

Ya gotta give it to Mayhem, in light of all that the band has been through they're still hard at it even after a couple of decades. With that kind of staying power Mayhem will be around a helluva lot longer than most "above ground" bands.

    Now for something completely different,

    CHRYSLER HALL

I saw Bonnie Raitt in concert waay back in 1976 when she and the band stopped at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk, Virginia for a one night performance. Bonnie and her band got to tour the downtown Norfolk complex featuring the Domed Arena with Chrysler Hall over an underground Convention Center. It was really funny how she looked around the facility and said, "this sure is a mighty fancy concert hall for such a small town".

    NORFOLK ARENA

Bonnie got a big laugh and applause from the audience over that one, and I've loved Bonnie Raitt and her music ever since. Both she and her band have worked hard over the years to make it in the big world of music. It was a real joy to see her with a couple of hit albums in the early 90's.

    Now here's Bonnie's video that's lots of fun, a little naughty & nice. :D
    Her biggest hit song:

My favorite album ever came out in 1998: Beck's "Mutations". There is not a bad song on the whole album. Also, Godspeed You! Black Emperor's "The Dead Flag Blues" is awesome, just like all their stuff. Nine Inch Nails's "Heresy" and the Presidents' "Peaches", and also, Primus's "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver."

Here's a 90's song that has captured the imaginations of people all around the world.

ADIEMUS is the project title for the album series from composer Karl Jenkins.

The first of his works was ADIEMUS - Songs of Sanctuary released in 1995.

"Adiemus" is also the name of the title track that became popular and was used as a theme for Delta Air Lines television commercials. I'm sure that everyone has heard this song, it caused quite a lot of internet traffic as the 20th century drew to a close.

@Mister E -- One of my favorite albums also came out in 1998... Sparklehorse's "Good Morning Spider".

Speaking of which, I would probably have to say my favorite 90's track is the song "Sunshine" off that same album.

Can't thank you enough ActionBastard. You're the first to post "Return of the Mack" in the Best song of the 1990's thread and I'm feeling younger already.
    Outstanding song. :D

I never cared much for George Michael's songs during the 80s,but in 1990 he released his best song:

    George Michael - Freedom! '90
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diYAc7gB-0A&ob=av2e

Freedom '90 was all about how fed up he was with record labels and stardom in general. An extreme oddity back then and ever since.
