OMG what a song! Few have been blessed with a set of pipes like Ian Astbury.

Outstanding video link jrs1991. You got this old man dancing with headphones, lol.

THE CULT is a tough act to follow. 8)

    OK, here goes.

Dial it back to 1989, cuz I'm putting on my brave face . . . NOW:

Oh yeah, and a fun time was had by all. Cool song & video. You've made my day!

Btw, "the Party at Ground Zero will not be televised", lol!

Here's another great example of 80's music diversity.
I used to laugh at these old guys gettin' down with it.
Now I am an old guy. Go figure.

Anyway I now love these guys and it looks like they've made a big impression on fans of GTA-VC with the hit song,

Yes, if you must know I do indeed resemble DJ Oliver "Ladykiller" Biscuit. Just take away the ponytail, the ear ring, the gold tooth and add ten years, lol!:P

Oh yeah, move over Barry White - give the Isley Brothers some room to work, lol!
Man it's been years since I heard that one. The clothes just sorta melt right ya as you listen.

Here's one of my favorite singers, Patti Austin, with an awesome sax back-up from Sadao Watanabe. It's a more conventional love song but after the sax solo this tune really takes it up a notch. I just love this song and it made an interesting accompaniment to the soundscape of the 80's.

Michael Jackson definitely had some great music in the 80's as did other artists. Many people believe that some of the best music came out of the 80's!

That song was also used in a Volkswagen commercial from 1997, the one with the two guys and the dilapidated armchair.

YES! I first heard this song on that VW commercial where the two guys pick up a thrown away couch. They look at each other knowingly when the smell from the couch hits them, lol.

What an awesome video clip, I'm saving that to my flash drive!

Alright RetroJunkers, hang on to your mice for this one. :D

    Here's a song that screams 80's.

Don't even try to sit still listening to this tune, you might blow a fuse!

Let's go waay back for this one. :D

Here's a song that seemed to flow out of every radio in town.
It was impossible to escape this tune.

I had the great fortune to catch the full length version of this song at night shortly after I had made my big move from Phoenix to Seattle. While there's nothing wrong with the radio-edit disc, my heart belongs to the extended version. It's that extra time with the chorus/guitar combo that gets to me everytime.

Sure got the 80's off to a great start!
