Well I'll admit some of them can be annoying as well. I use to consider myself one, but not so much anymore (and it would take me a long time to explain why that is and would most likely cause a whole new "debate" of sorts in itself).

But I have to point out that at least with my posts, I don't mean to say "this whole group of people are annoying" just a certain number of them of that sadly makes ALL of them look bad. Kind of like how if you're a dude and you see another man act like a total dickhead to pretty young ladies in a bar and you think to yourself "oh dude, don't do that, that's why so many women think men are scum." It makes you feel embaressed to be in the same group as that person/people.

Personally why I didn't post in the "Jews" thread, I personally never had a problem with a jew, but I've had my problems with overly uptight christians. Again that's not saying ALL christians are bad, it's just too bad a number of people have to make them ALL look bad.

I posted that cause it seems like you're getting a bit "offend" by these posts in the "War Room," GeneralCritic99, don't take to many things to heart in the "War Room."

Cool post, man. But I would advise, that when it comes to the mass of people. It's not a matter of how the people are. It should be about the how Doctrine abides. Because from there, if you find truth. What the people do can be inconsistent. You gotta go to the core.
You dont know them but they do!!

I have no problem with people that don't believe in God, but I find people that call themselves atheist all the time annoying. Many try to make being an atheist like it is a religion when I think they just need something to stand for. They spend so much of their time bashing the Bible and other religious text. Many of the things they say are just down right hateful. Just watch some of the videos they post on youtube and see how bitter and hateful they are. It's like they have become part of the atheist group just because they never fit into society. I just want to slap some of those little punk kids that think they are so smart because they spend all their waking moments reading about religion. Seriously get a fucking life and no I'm not going to debate your arrogant ass.

My thing is if you don't believe in God just live your life. Let those that do believe live theirs without bashing them. Don't get your panties in a wad every time someone brings up God. Go to the park, go fly a kite and sleep in on the Sabbath.......I don't care. They say it is because religion affects their daily life. That is because they let it.

People not believing in God is fucking stupid. The whole 'random' creation of things is just laughable.

Its like you take car-parts, lay them out and hope that a storm or whatever will rearrange and assemble them into a fully functional automobile. YOU NEED A CREATOR!

Besides what proof do these people have there's no God?

Tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with no air?

That's just it, there's no proof either way, there is nothing affirming or disproving the existence of a God. A religious person sees trees and birds as proof that God exists, an atheist sees a scientific priciple, this is why religious debates never really do much other than get people's feathers ruffled, and that's about it.

Everyone wants their beliefs to be vindicated, regardless of what they are.

Depends on what kind of God you're talking about...

It would be difficult to disprove a God so far removed with little involvement (the prime mover) in the creation of the universe.

I couldn't agree more. Everyone... religious people, spiritual people, atheists, agnostics.... Should be able to believe in what they believe without cramming what they believe down our damn throats! I could give a rat's ass if anyone on here believes that there is or isn't a God, I will believe what I have always believed and will continue to believe and it has nothing to do with that nerdinmomsbasement123, or anyone else on this site believes, either! It's one thing to not believe in the existence of God, but then it's another to make your life mission to convince other people why they are wrong for believing there is one!

Personally, I don't see the point in Atheism, refusing to acknowledge that existence of a God is even possible.... Agnosticism makes much more sense.

Just like it is wrong for the religious to try to spread their beliefs onto others. Unfortunately, it is only natural for people to want everyone else to see thing their way since there is safety in numbers. This is one reason people get all upset when debating religion.

For some people it's not about making sense. A belief structure is hardly ever based around the plausible or rational, it's blind faith steeped in what they "know" in their hearts to be true.

The biggest problem I have with atheists (not all atheists, just the more extreme Richard Dawkins variety), is that they act like they are the gurus of intelligence and reasonable thought, and treat anyone who believes in God as a moron who doesn't have half a brain. Anyone who has to resort to name calling and bullying to get their point across is not "intelligent" in my book. Another thing about them that really annoys me is that they are always telling people to be free thinkers, and to think freely for themselves. I agree with that...but the problem is as soon as you start to believe in something that they don't like, they will immediately start accusing you of being a brainwashed fool. So you are really only a "free thinker" in their eyes if you have the same beliefs as they do. Isn't that exactly what they always complain about religions doing? They have pretty much become a religion themselves.

I've heard a lot of more moderate atheists say that they don't even like to call these types of people atheists, but rather "anti-theists"...because while moderate atheists have no problem with what other people believe, anti-theist atheists have a BIG problem with what you believe.

    Who created the creator?

My opinion? We'll never know how we got here with 110% certainty. I'm not calling myself agnostic because too many stupid fucking hipsters have ruined the term for me. I believe in the Big Bang theory and evolution though, because there's far more proof for these theories. I consider myself some kinda humanist/pantheist.

You gotta figure, it's yin and yang; for every right-wing, self-righteous preacher (of any faith) to condemn the actions or (lack of) beliefs of another you're gonna get some egotistical, sanctimonious atheist basically doing the same thing to the believers of God. We, as a society of individuals, have more in common with each other than we do differences, but we rarely realize it.

This is exactly true, and it is basically what has happened to the idea of agnosticism. Regardless of your faith, you will become what you dislike about others if you can't see the big picture. Simplex, complex, multiplex.

Instead of "seeing where this goes", why don't you contribute to the conversation, you fucking pussy?

You couldn't say much in the Christians thread other than being all butthurt, maybe you can come up with an original thought of your own to share?

About the same amount of "proof" that there IS a God.

I've never seen a group of atheists going door to door, trying to convert people to their beliefs.

Good point, but there are some that can be total dicks and call people whom do believe in god a "retard" or an "idoit." Which makes some of them pretty damn annoying.

Yea and they attack a co-worker because they send an email out for a food drive for their church because it "offended them". Or attack people because they bring up God in a conversation.
