No, because WB, the children and Cartoon Network won't let him die.

I didn't even like Scooby-Doo from the start. I always find it to be the same crap over and over again throughout every episode ever created. In fact, this is how I'd describe Scooby-Doo in a nutshell.

    - The gang drives their Mystery Machine
    - They find a haunted house (or some other place that is said to have ghosts)
    - They meet a person that happens to be there.
    - The gang investigates and in there are a bunch of cheap parlor gags that Shaggy and Scooby are stupid enough to fall for.
    - A ghost haunts the place and they run around in circles.
    - They catch the ghost and it happens to be... (gasp), the character they happened to meet in this particular episode.

...and there we go. I just summed up every Scooby-Doo episode in existence. I find it ridiculous how people state that all cartoons suck nowadays and look at Scooby-Doo as one of the good shows from the past. I thought it sucked then and it sucks now.

Why do they always use a cute, taut girl to play "plain" Velma?

once it got to this point, i no longer took interest in getting my cousins anything scooby doo-related, though their parents got them scooby doo movies.

but once again, they're solving mysteries, not by unmasking people, but there's this mad scientist guy who abruptly follows in their footsteps in each episode. again this is another cliche of a story where the antagonist focuses on world domination. but this isn't the only shallow part of it, shaggy and scooby always seem to get caught by the scientist by the end of an episode, and scooby uses "super-powered" scooby snacks to get them out of a situation. the only upside to this whole show is that mutato muzika and mark mothersbaugh composed the music. the theme song though is just flat out rancid

Ughhh, the CGI wouldn't have been so bad if it was all CGI or all live action. They can do a live action show with talking dogs. It's been done before.

Seriously. Let it die! It was a crappy 60s cartoon that lasted 2 seasons, then got revived. Then it became the bitch (No pun intended) of Cartoon Network and USA Cartoon Express.

The direct-to-VHS movies were pretty good. I just watched "Witches Ghost" the other day and it held up pretty good. I do have a soft spot for the original show and "Scooby doo movies" :D

How do they mess up Shaggy? It's a green shirt, long pants, and black shoes. Simple. How they screw up the formula is beyond me.

Psh. I could never get into Scooby-Doo. It just didn't appeal to me at all. I would watch a few episodes of the 60s/70s 'Scooby-Doo Where Are You!'. But overall, I just don't like Scooby-Doo.

what's funny is that most of the episodes turn out ending like this

common resident: i guess you'll have to watch out for.... the [insert monster name here]!

and 20 minutes later in the episode when they catch the monster, only to find out that it's the person who warned them about the monster. that's laziness right there

Yeah, Scooby-Doo is okay, but not a huge fan. It has lasted way too long. Certainly not a fan of the live actions either. CN just made a new movie, called Scooby-Doo Lake Monster something...

It's gotten to the point they might as well make a channel to contain this pile of crap.
TV Tropes is kind enough to give a list of the Scooby Doo shows:
Scooby Doo Where Are You! (1969-1971)
The New Scooby Doo Movies (1972-1974)
    The Scooby Doo Show (1976-1979)
    The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Show (1976-1977)
    Scooby's All-Star Laff-a-Lympics (1977-1979)
    Scooby And Scrappy Doo (1979-1980)
    Scooby-Doo/Richie Rich Show (1980-1982)
    Scooby-Doo Classics (1981)
    Scooby Doo/Puppy's Adventures (1982-83)
    The All-New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show (1983-1984)
    The Best Of Scooby-Doo (1983-1984)
    The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries (1984-1985)
    Scary Scooby Funnies (1984-1985)
The 13 Ghosts Of Scooby Doo (1985-1986)
    Scooby's Mystery Funhouse (1985-86)
    Whats New Scooby Doo? (2002-2006)
Shaggy And Scooby Doo Get A Clue! (2006-2008)
    Scooby-Doo! Mystery Inc. (2010-present)

And I saw the character designs for the new show, why did they exaggerate a cartoon characters features, isn't that like photoshopping Rosie O'Donnell to look ugly?
Always playing as Yoshi since 1995!
