I'm so glad The Beatles are number one. I'm glad most of thebands/artists I listen to are close to number one. I somewhat agree with the list except for Hall & Oates being on number 99.

Discussing TOP Whatever lists is really pointless to me. They're not based on scientific fact, I wasn't consulted and they're purely conjectural.

Yet here I am discussing one, THAT'S Chaos theory.

I truly believe that when they made this, they just wanted to have some credit from those indulged in the pop scene right now, so they tried to fit those so they wouldn't change the channel. Besides that, though Beatles were number 1, because it's so obvious, I wish it was done like DigitalDreamdoor.com where they poll over 2 million people, and consult with journalists and musicians. Instead of just 200 musicians.
You dont know them but they do!!

It would be much better to put the TRUE musicians in one side and the performers in others. *oh and the phony posers*

I thought I was the only one who thinks that.

Also, I haven't bothered to have a good look at the list, but whoever complied it should be ashamed if Bryan Adams isn't on it.

EDIT: I've just looked and he isn't. Why? He sung the theme songs for the Kevin Costner Robin Hood movie and the 1993 remake of The Three Musketeers! They're both awesome!

Because he's Bryan Adams. And both songs were very generic rock ballads.

I saw a little bit of this list today on VH1, I fairly enjoyed what I saw for the most part and somewhat agreed. But as a rule of thumb, you should never get to brother up over a "greatest" list, cause more often than not you're going to disagree with it.

As I understand it, the list was made up of ballots from other music artists and music "experts." Guess Bryan Adams didn't do much for them, which I can understand.

I don't even know what Justin and Beyonce are even doing on this list? Considering that they hardly qualify as a "great artist." And what the hell are Jay-Z and Nortorious B.I.G. doing on this list? Fuck! They've got N.W.A. on this list too. What the hell did they do that warranted this honour?

The real travesty here is that Madonna is ahead of Queen. I prefer that this list not be in any order at all.
All of this Political Correctness junk is going to turn me into a modern day Archie Bunker before I turn 30.

You know, I'm not going to complain about much but OutKast is better than all those Hip-Hop Artists/Groups. I'm glad for where Nirvana is, but AC/DC deserve more than 23. They should have been up with Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones.

^ Outkast is cool and one of my faves... but it is not better than Beastie Boys/Tupac. Not a chance.
