Now that these books are getting their own film I figured it'd be time to talk more about this quirky little graphic novel. Personally I like the 'crazy all over the place' style of writing but the art feels really sloppy from time to time. I often have trouble distinguishing between different characters.

Gotta love the video-game references though.

A little late. The film came out weeks ago.

Friend took me to the movie and I thought it was pretty cool. Then he bought some of the comics at comic con. I spent 45 minutes reading the first book a few times and saw it is exactly like the movie word from word. Thats how it should be done!

it was kinda cool that for once they did not pretend that Toronto or other parts of Southern Ontario Canada were somewhere else for once.

Its cheaper to film in Canada. So, a lot of the movies you see thats 'New York' or 'L.A.', is really Canada.

I haven't read much of the comics. Just bits and pieces of it basically.

I saw the movie, and I thought it was really excellent. Probably one of the best video game oriented movies I've ever seen. Seeing Scott fighting his ways through Ramona's exes was very fun to watch as it uses one video game/comic book reference after another.

Now, I want to play the Scott Pilgrim video game. If only I had an Xbox 360 or PS3.

I'm not saying that it's a badly done movie, it's just a dumb idea. League Of Evil Exs ? Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if they hadn't mistakenly put Michael Cera in it.

Well, my only real problem with the comics and the film (actually I've yet to see it) is that it's such a No More Heroes rip-off. I have heard they pay tribute to NMH in the film when random enemies apparently bleed money just like in the game but still. Apparently more people have started noticing the similarities.

Oh and who the hell is Michael Cera and why does he supposedly suck as Scott?
