Even though The Beatles were embarrassed by this song because it wasn't much their style, it seemed to be everyone's favourite when it was released. Plus, according to Guinness World Records, 'Yesterday' seems to be the most cover versions of any song ever written.

In my opinion, I say it is the most unique, and yet one of the sweetest songs I heard from this band.

I remember in the Beatles Anthology how Paul thought he was plagarizing someone else's song and went around asking if anyone recognized the tune before he recorded it

Oh yeah! Because Paul thought he heard that tune after he woke up from his dream.

IMO-Before "Yesterday" many Rock Critics were saying that Rock and Roll was just 'Noise', but when "Yesterday" came out...it seemed that it bridged the gap between old and young. And it became the most covered song ever...even Frank Sinatra, who criticized and disliked Rock covered "Yesterday"!

I prefer the "scrambled eggs" version.
