Brilliant underrated cult horror modern western about a modern cowboy who gets bitten by a cute girl and abducted by a gang of vampire outlaws who show him the way of being in the darkness as his father must save him to turn him back to normal and fight the bad vampires.
This movie is sort of an early Anti-Twilight as it has a similar storyline but done better. The vampires in this movie aren't typical vampire stereotypes as they aren't romantic, they aren't a bunch of fags hoping around in rental formal wear and seducing everyone with cheesy eurotrash accents while having something up your chocolatta stradda while they suck your blood.
They don't have fangs but razor as blades regular teeth, they turn to crispy in sunlight like traditional vampires do, they are outlaws, and they don't get affected by crosses or garlic or turn into bats. I adored this movie since i was 16 in the late 90's and been one of my favorites since.
Bill Paxton is the shit as Severen, one of the biggest vampire motherfuckers around. What if Edward Cullen met Severen? what would that be like?
"Nobody wants to see vampire killers or vampires either! apparently all they want are demented madmen running around in ski-masks hacking up young virgins"-Peter Vincent from Fright Night.
