Your First Computer

I had an off-brand Windows 95 computer, can't remember the specs, but for what I know, it was SLOW. I haven't touched it in years, because when I first moved in to my third house, we hooked it back up, and the monitor wouldn't work. We didn't have a spare either, so it basically sat in my house collecting dust. We hooked it back up years later when we did have a monitor, and I was hit with a tsunami wave of memories. I used to play Humongous Entertainment games all the time on there. It was practically the only thing I looked forward to every day. Unfortunately, it wasn't hooked up for long, and my mom needed her monitor back. LOL! I haven't touched it since, but dang I have a lot of good memories on that computer.

First computer I remember was a '98ish Sony Vaio desktop. I think my family still has it in the garage.

My family got our first computer in 1994. It had:

    Windows 3.1

    Intel i486 processor (66 MHZ)

    300 MB Hard Drive

    6 MB Ram

    3.5 Floppy Drive

    5.5 Floppy Drive

    CD-Rom Drive

    15 inch monitor.

All for the incredibly low price of around $1,300!

As for the first computer that I personally owned, I got it in 2002 when I graduated from high school:

    Windows XP

Intel Pentium 4 processor (1.8 GHZ)

    200 GB Hard Drive

    512 MB of Ram

    3.5 Floppy Drive

    CD-Rom Drive

    17 inch monitor.

The computer itself cost around $500 when I got it, and the monitor was about $130. I still use the same monitor to this day (no point in buying a new one while it still works). I also use the same computer case, I've just upgraded everything inside it within the last couple of years.

I love the Computers back in the early and late 2000's.

a mid 90s Compaq Presario with Windows 95. I had Sim City, the incredible machine, and a jungle spelling thingy program; I can't think of the name but that's when I first learned to spell 'practice'.

In '97 my parents got our first computer. A Gateway 2000. I know it had a cd-rom drive and 17 inch monitor. After about 2 years the monitor screen started to turn pink and they sent us a new one. We had dial up Aol internet service.

We had a gateway as the family computer from the late 90s as well.

As for my own personal computer/laptop, it was a Sony Vaio (I can't recall the model) but it wasn't that old

my family got our first computer around '94 or '95 when i was 6 or so. all i remember is the guy selling it brought it over to show it to us, and i wasn't interested at all until he loaded up Mortal Kombat on it. that had me sold at first, but when he tried to show me how to play it on the computer keyboard i said eff it because the keys were too confusing. i don't even remember if we ended up buying the computer or not, but the guy was over for like 5 hours..
