    		 In 1972, The Moody Blues released the final album in what has been come to known to their fans as 'the Classic Seven Albums,' Seventh Sojurn. It featured the single I'm Just a Singer (In a Rock and Roll Band.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_J-hmyAS6c

    The group actually briefly took a shot at recording an eighth album in 1973. Sessions were quickly abandoned amidst group infighting and after playing live dates in '73 - '74 the group took a hiatus to concentrate on solo work. They regrouped in 1978 but keyboardist Mike Pinder who was so integral to the group sound left the group by the end of '78 and was replaced by Patrick Moraz who'd previously been a member of Yes from '74 to '76 and had also played in Refugee, a spinoff band from the group The Nice.

    Don't ask me to explain it, but I simply loved America ever since their first album.
    "Daisy Jane" is still my favorite 70's song but "Ventura Highway" and "Sister Golden Hair" are way more popular.

    There's another song that I love just a much as "Daisy Jane" and it's "Today's The Day".
    Yes, I know it's a song about nothing but I'm transfixed by it. Maybe its the soft harmonies or the way Dan Peek's voice slightly drops whenever he sings "TODAY". Seriously, take a listen and see if hear it too. Dan's voice seems to do a little distort on every "TODAY" in the song. Kinda cool and strange at the same time but I still think this song deserves a spot on the "Best Songs" list.

    "Heroes" was covered by the Wallflowers in 1998 on the American Godzilla OST, and it is the best Bowie cover I have ever heard.

    In addition, I don't know about the other Bowie/Eno works, since Heroes is the only one I can clearly remember. I also liked it when the original Bowie version was used in the intro of NHL 99 on the PC and PS1, since the N64 version used a shorter, and less musically-inclined intro because it did not have the processing power to produce such beautiful FMV that the PS1 could handle.

    I'm pretty sure Debbie Harry switched the lyrics "For I will be king and you will be queen" around, to a point where they actually became "For I will queen and you will be king.

    		 The Pretty Things - Parachute (1970)

    An excellent album from 1970 voted best rock album of that year by Rolling Stone. It's one of the few times I actually kind of agree with them. There's a few cd reissues available that add another album's worth of bonus material I recommend highly. Parachute mostly features the Pretty Things playing much more softly and less raucous than they are usually known for, often sounding like late 60's Beatles or early 70's Pink Floyd but the group couldn't resist putting a couple of tracks in their older blues rock style on side two. Overall it's a great album that should get more recognition.
