Maybe we should have this one locked, even though Darthmunk started a thread about this in the Chit Chat forum.

    What about stuff like Quackula?
That one only lasted 16 episodes and was never seen again after the final episode. Talk about obscure cartoons, really.

This one's not retro, how about Ellen's Acres?
That one only lasted a month on Cartoon Network (January 2007 to be precise), and never aired after its cancellation due to CN airing it at 9:30AM on a weekday morning.

    Mad Jack the Pirate, anyone?
Only lasted 13 episodes on Fox Kids back in 1998, and hasn't seen the light of day after being dumped.

Sheep in the Big City, Time Squad, and Megas XLR needed more recognition. All three didn't last very long on the TV, though. :(

I know some more shorter-lived Cartoon Network cartoons besides those.

it could have, but thanks to a soccermom who hated hearing norbert telling daggett to "shut up" it had to happen

I didn't know it until today, but I'm surprised that Cowboy Bebop only lasted for one season. I've rarely ever caught it on throughout the years, so I've almost never seen the same episode twice.

    Love the show though.

Sit Down and Shut Up, which is one I'm sure people would like to forget.

Only thing that comes to mind for me is Sonic the Hedgehog. Maybe Gummi Bears. The problem is that most of the shows don't have a linear storyline or a real storyline at all, so even though it ended, it's not like much was missed. Stuff like Sonic the Hedgehog had an actual plot.

With the way it ended, you actually expected it to be able to have a second season?

Sonic the Hedgehog "SatAM" (26 episodes)

Sheep in the Big City (27 episodes)

    Frekazoid! (24 episodes)

    Earthworm Jim (23 episodes)

    The Tick (36 episodes)

    Cartoon Planet (22 episodes)

    The Brak Show (29 episodes)

    The Critic (23 episodes)

And the worst part is, all of these cartoons were really good. None of them deserved to be canceled so fast. Especially Sonic SatAM. It was canceled before it was actually supposed to end. Canceling a TV show after only 2 seasons is bad, but canceling a TV show on a cliffhanger is even worse.

Obviously..."Sonic SatAM" and "The Critic", but I also must add "Quack Pack" and "Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show".

"Quack Pack" was VERY entertaining with Donald Duck having to face the life of suburbia and his teen nephews, and it could've had more adventures and perhaps Donald's 'amigos' named Joe Carioca and Panchito Pistoles.

"Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show" was a show that was on for only 2 years, but it was basically a predecessor of another favorite show of mine "Garfield and Friends".

King of the Hill sorta got a raw deal where it's cancellation was concerned.

Personally, I would have liked to see a couple more seasons of Drawn Together. Comedy Central REALLY fucked them over during Season 3....Although one could argue that pitching an animated version of "The Real World", saying it won't cost much to animate due to the confessional bits and then having it slowly devolve into a show about a Superhero who rapes corpses, fights the mentally challenged and barley addresses the fact that they're on a reality show allowing them to leave the house to the point where they're on another planet was fucking Comedy Central over...BIG TIME.

    You be the judge ;)
