Hanna Barbera theme park commercial?!

    This was located north of Houston and became a water park (Splashtown USA) a few years later which did much better. I honestly never knew this place excisted as anyone I knew always went to the now defunct Astroworld (later Six Flags Astroworld) next to the Astrodome. I guess when "seeing your name in lights" is a selling point it is hard to compete. :)

    Very good concept for a theme park. Carowinds, a theme park in Charlotte, NC I visited when I was 12 in 2002, had a Hanna-Barbara themed section that was very cool. It's probably not there anymore though.

    In Doswell, VA...... Paramount owned "Kings Dominion" WAS "Hanna-Barbara" themed.

    It might have survived had it had some thrill rides. I looked it up, it was only open for two years closing in 1985. We had a oil bust here around that time which crippled the economy and was probably a reason it closed.
