Batman, then Batman Returns. All others, besides the 1966 Adam West one, don't really enter into the equation. They just didn't feel right without Michael Keaton. He was the perfect Batman and the best Bruce Wayne.

I would say out of EVERY Batman movie, Mask of the Phantasm is HANDS DOWN the most underratted. It was a "critical success" but sadly flopped at the box office, though it was going up aganist Disney's the Lion King.

That is a GREAT GREAT animated movie.

You know I've heard people talk about this film for years. I'm going to have to check this out one day myself.

I just ordered Superman/Batman Public Enemies. I haven't seen anything of it besides the trailer. I got it because Tim Daly finally returns as Superman and Tim Conroy is back as Batman. Is the movie any good ?

I would've said Gotham Knight, too, as it has the second best Batman of all time, Kevin Conroy, but it's part of the newer Nolan movies, and I try to avoid them as much as possible. The style does look cool, though. Sort of like the Animatrix.

Mask of the Phantasm. Kevin Conroy is the best Batman. Period.

I've never seen mask of the phantasm but i hear it's amazing, I remember Siskel and Ebert did a special late review just for it. I like Batman Returns the best, the 89 one kind of loses it's charm the older I get but Returns stays pretty solid.

I watch Batman and Robin sometimes because of how entertainingly horrific it is. This agonybooth article does it justice
