Well it's none of our business and I'm sure they had a good reason, so we should just ignore it and move on.

    Right? :)

I heard that the school won't let the girls go to Arizona over "conflicting political views" that go against what the school believes...yet they sent another basketball team to CHINA!!

Also, it's interesting that this school is shoving their political views down these girls throats. What ever happened to public schools not being able to enforce religion or politics on students?

Well why not? China is one of the world's greatest capitalist powers, look at the free market economy, what American politician doesn't like good-old fashioned capitalism?

I wouldn't send my basketball team to a fascist state either. Good for the Superintendent.

Let's say you and your scout troop had a trip you were looking forward to planned for months to another state and your scout master told you because of some BS on the news "sorry guys but the trip is off because this state goes against what I believe". How would you feel? The politics going on in AZ has nothing to do with this trip the girls were taking. We could go down the list and find reasons why we hate the laws of a state and the Superintendent chose this because some other people are boycotting the state of Arizona. Also the trip is optional, the immigration laws will have no effect on them and it should be the parent's choice to send them or not.

The media isn't reporting much on the fact that the law has already been changed to where a person has to be stopped for another crime in order to have their status checked. If they are going to break the law, are here illegally, I'm perfectly fine with them notifying ICE. Something tells me you guys don't have many illegals to worry about where you live and if you lost a family member to one you might think differently.

What's funny, is that the people who are complaining about the law such as Obama and the Democrats, haven't even read it...despite the fact that it's only 10 pages long (compared to the 2,000 page long healthcare bill). I saw this liberal on TV today who is strongly opposed to the immigration law, but he made himself look like an ass in front of the camera when he was asked what's in the law that offends him, and he had to respond with, "Well, I haven't actually read it yet...but it COULD lead to racial profiling!"
