When I was in my teens, especially 15-17 admittingly, I had drank pretty much everyday. At 18, I had quit for a full year completely. In my early 20's it came back again and was again pretty much everyday, then once I hit 25, it went away again to once a week, maybe twice at the most. A few friends and random well wishers are on my case lately about me being an alcoholic- I have mild weekend warrior syndrome at best- only drink maximum 1 day a week, unless there is a social function. I never drink alone, but sure there are sometimes I am the only one drinking.

My view is that when you need, not want to drink, drink to extremely excessive levels and it stops you from going to work or other responsibilities, then there is a definite issue.
