No powerlight on the Top Loading NES?

    I've had a top loading NES system for a long while now, but I've always wondered, why did they not build it with a powerlight? All other Nintendo Systems have one except it. Any thoughts on why? Perhaps they just spaced it out for some reason? To me it's just odd!

    Technically speaking, the AV famicom and original famicom didn't have LEDs either. afaik it was a cost saving thing.

    Indeed, I don't really see any reason to have one because you would know it's on. Also, they were selling those for about $50.
