To reproduce, fish spray semen on external eggs, which would then explain the immaculate conception of Jesus

Also, walking on water is a lot easier when u have gills

Seriously, anyone know how the Jesus Fish came into being?
I can only think of him feeding the people with fish and bread.

The fish was simply used as a symbol to show to the world that they were a believer. Originally, they were persecuted for worshiping. So they would put the fish outside as a symbol. However now, it's to express that their not embarrassed of their faith.

Yeah, it's basically like a sikh's turban or a muslim's beard. It's so you can identify each other.

Well, like I said. It's not a title. It's just a way to show that they aren't shy about it. Whereas the turban and beard are a necessity.

The turban and beard are supposed to be a necessity, but not always used. I know many religious sikhs who wear no turban and are clean shaven. The thing is though, the turban-wearing sikhs always greet each other very warmly even as strangers because they see the identifying characteristics that the other chooses to display.

That's cool. But again is different from the fish. It's not a symbol for other Christians. We should be greeting warmly to everyone.
