What are your thought on them?

I have known several people that grew up being one of them. They go to "meetings" up to 5 times a week. The children have services with the adults, so no Sunday school or nursery. The meetings run up to two hours long and the children are expected to sit still the whole time. In some Kingdom Halls the parents will bring the squirming child to the back room and spank them. One Witness told me she felt some of the parents were abusive back in the 1980s at the Kingdom Hall she attended. They also have assemblies that last all day.

Being a Witness means you must go out and hand out pamphlets in the neighborhood. The children must go along too. Jehovah Witness is not allowed to celebrate birthdays, Easter, Christmas or any other Holiday. If a member is found to be doing so they can be disfellowshipped.

The biggest controversy has always been the receiving of blood transfusions even if it means saving the life of a small child. Most Jehovah Witness parents will let their child die before giving them blood. There have been some changes and some parts of the blood is allowed, but it is a very fine area. If the parents violate this rule they will be disfellowshipped.

There is lots of talk about Armageddon and many Witnesses claim to have been traumatized by this as children.

Another controversy is how some scriptures in the Bible are omitted and the interpretation of others.

Jehovah Witness children are often not allowed to associate with none Witness and some feel their religion is a cult.

144 thousand actually. Just hearing that they omit and "translate" what they think from the bible, makes them impossible to be true, right there, if you think about it.

Not to do this to make fun, but this cartoon literally explains what they believe.

I had a family come to my door. They started to preach their faith, but they made a mistake. They allowed me to take advantage. I started preaching about Wicca and the joys of Paganism. The guy excused himself quickly. I told their kids that the Goddess would watch over them. The mother leaned down and said, "Don't listen to the crazy man."

To quote Ned Mandingo: Invite a Jehovah's Witness into your house and kill him with a blunt instrument.

The only real thing I know about them is that they don't celebrate any holidays.

I just found out that this religion is base on one of the many splits that the "Millerite" movement underwent after William Miller failed on his prophecy of doomsday in 1843.

One large piece of this Millerites drifted toward the works of Charles Taze Rusell who predict but also failed his prophecie of the end of days... later revised his prediciton (based on analysis of the Pyramides of Egipt  ) failing yet again. This group would later be called Jehova's Witnesses.

Other segments of this movement continued making predicitons, hence creating further spilts each time a prediction failed.

So basically this were made after much failures attempting to forsee the future (great fundaments to began a religion  )

*now I see why all the bollocks of this people*

I don't mind them and respect their religion as long as they don't bother me. I just don't like it when they start going to houses and areas of town to try and talk to people about getting involved in their ways.

They do have some odd things to their religion too.
