I apologize if I seem like I'm making fun, but a here's a link for you:

This is a mormon cartoon that has been banned from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I would have posted links to some South Park clips, but I really don't feel it's necessary.

I despise Mormonism. My former roommate is one. I've studied the religion deeply, and I honestly hate it. Not because I'm an atheist, and although I do not like any religion, Mormonism is truely one I cannot stand.

Probably because I'm a stoner....but I've studied it deeply. Nutty. Fucking. Shit.

    Very, Very strange.
They think black people are inferior, and than the US says that if they dont allow civil right in Utah they'll be kicked out the country...poof...God now says we're equal.
Plus theres a big debate if Brigham Young actually slaughtered an entire Indian village on his way to Utah, woman children and all. Of course the Mormans dispute this and are trying to hide it.

    Good point sir

But I could probably make an argument that all Christian slave holders believed that darker skinned people were sub-human.

If I were to give a crown to the king of hypocrisy and scandal it would have to go to the Catholic Church hands down...

The Inquisition, the Crusades, selling of indulgences, 3 Popes scandal, Vatican city being made after a deal with Mussolini, Multi-million dollar sexual abuse scandals, etc.

Valid points as well, funniest thing to say is "I kill you in the name of God".

you have a sick sense of humor.

Thats is true, but its so hypocritical to kill someone by doing what you think God intended when the first rule of your religion is "Thou Shall Not Kill".

btw why are you considering becoming a mormon...?

    Haha, well...

I really like the emphasis on family. When I hopefully get married and have kids, I think it would be great to raise them with Mormon values.

Also, thinking VERY idealistically I think that society as a whole would be better off if we all abstained from alcohol and substance abuse.

No pre-marital sex may sound extreme at first, but think of how it would change your perception of things. Instead of banging some assholes on weekends, people would be seeking to develop closer relationships with "better" choices for mates.

To me, Mormonism feels like the next step in becoming not only an adult, but a gentleman.

Also, unlike other Christian religions, Mormonism puts importance on practice as much as faith.

Another thing is you cant take anything to alter you as a natural person, being tylenol or caffine.
Plus with the family system if your kids decide to not practice your faith you'll have to pretty much disown them.

One other thing I didn't mention is that Mormons get baptised at around the age of 8 as opposed to at birth; baptism is meant to be a conscious choice. Therefore, my kids would be able to choose for themselves.
