The top CGI animated movie of 2005 (Pixar was absent that year) is also one of my favorite Dreamworks movies. The penguins steal the show and the movie's theme song (above) will stick in your head a long while after seeing it. I haven't seen the second one, but I've heard it's OK.

CartoonKing2 2 years 1 month ago Posts: 192 Account Disabled	It was good, but the sequel Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa was a lot better. The spin-off Nickelodeon show The Penguins of Madagascar on the other hand is just.... dull. It's dull, boring, it overuses jokes from the 2 movies, and it isn't very funny or entertaining. But yeah, I did like the movie Madagascar, however I don't think it's even close to being one of the best animated movies, and DreamWorks has better movies like Shrek, Shrek 2, How to Train your Dragon, Over the Hedge, Antz and Kung Fu Panda. Those are all better than Madagascar. But like I said the second one was an improvement over the first. Oh and by the way, I Like to Move it, Move it was actually a real song released in 1996, that's 9 years before Madagascar came out
