Personally, I'd like to die at about 50 years old or so, before I have to deal with alzheimers, worrying about breaking a hip, arthritis etc.

When I can not longer take care of myself.

vladdt, 50 is way too young to die. If you take care of yourself you be fine at the age of 50, even 60. It isn't until at person is in their 70s does that stuff start kicking in and by you're of that age there is no telling what advancements will be done in medicine.

Don't smoke, drink excessively, use drugs or eat too much junk food.

When I can no longer stand and walk by myself, lose bladder control and snapping my fingers and end up breaking my wrist.

It kind of varies in my opinion. I had hoped to die at the age of 27, 'cause that was the age that certain figures in rock 'n roll (and blues) music had died at. Think stars like Brian Jones (The Rolling Stones), Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison (The Doors) and Kurt Cobain (Nirvana).

And then I have the feeling that I am "eternally five" (a pun on Mariah Carey's "eternally 12" feeling), for in the years after 1986, all things in my society seemed to go downhill from there.

I'll die when someone says it's time to put old Ed in a home. That's when I'll swallow my pistol.

I'd want to die before anything like alzhimer's disease kicks in. What's the point of being alive if you can't remember the events of your life during your final years?

Also, I wouldn't want to die alone, I'd rather die around the same time as, or slightly before or after my other half.

Oh yeah. Almsot forgot, good to be back at RJ after a long absence.

Some guy reckons he can mess with our bodies so as long as we don't catch fatal diseases or die in an accident we will be immortal, the downside is it's predicted to be finished in 20 years.
