A serious question.

How long is too long......when it concerns taking down the Christmas tree.

I think anything past January is pushing it.

However, I have been to houses who have pushed the Christmas lights well past "Black History Month".

    Thoughts?

Somewhere someone keeps the tree up all year. I like to take the tree down on January 2nd.

Lately a lot of my neighbors keep the outside lights up all year, but only light them over the holidays.

My friend used to keep a fake tree up all year around. He'd hang GI Joe figures in it.

OMG one of my neighbors still has theirs up and turns it on every day. They have it right in front on the window. I guess their house may be one of the ones that have unhealthy levels of lead in the water I got a letter about.

To answer, no later than the day after New Years.

I'd say taking it down immediately after New Year's would be an ideal time.

There are some around my block that still have the lights all around their gardens... don't even mind when mowing the lawn.

    December 26th? New Years?!

In my opinion, I'd say we take our Christmas tree down around the beginning of January, or before the 12th.

Personally, I say take it down when you feel like it. It all depends on how lazy you are.

I still have my three foot fiber optic tree up, of course it's not plugged in.
