So what was the first comic you had that you can remember? The first comic I remember I got when I was 6 or 7 years old and was Dreadstar #8, in came in a little bag with two others that I can't remember anymore.

The very next week I got Amazing Spider-Man #316 which is what made me a comic fan forever.

That's an awesome way to start out, tbondrage!

My first comic ever was The Batman Adventures #8.

I got it at this comic book shop my brother used to go to about 3 years before I really got into comic books. I was 5 years old and didn't really read the book. I only got it because we were with my grandma and she didn't want to leave me out of the comic buying fun. I chose it because it obviously had Batman on it and it looked like the show. I really don't know where the comic is. Probably in some toy box back home.

I don't remember the issue, because it's lost, it was a Rocko's Modern Life comic. I was either in the 2nd or 3rd grade when I first bought it.

Mine was an issue of the Defenders. Don't remember the number. But it declared that it was STILL ONLY 35 CENTS! on the cover. And it had Beast and Doctor Strange on it.

But I consider Transformers #7 and GI Joe #34 the start of my collection.

IIRC, it was either a Scooby Doo comic or one of the Sonic the Hedgehog comics. I have no clue where either of them are now :P

For me it comes down to one line..I was at my family cottage, we own the whole town and I went after losing a bike race to the only store in a Southern Ontario town- Peacock Point...by no means my 1st comic..but the most memorable...it started with - They said my mother was insane...it was death of the hunter...and it on some levels changed me

There's no way I could find out which comic was my first.

But I could narrow it down. My dad was a Batman freak and sometimes bought duplicate issues for me. I also had TMNT, Spidey and Uncanny X-Men comics at an early age.

I've had 3 comics since before I can remember (at least since I was 3, though according to the tales, I got at least one when I myself was just 1. Apparently I had grabbed it while in my stroller). Two were superman/action comics, and one was a richie rich comic.

My first comic was a Betty & Veronica Double Digest. My mom got it for me to keep me entertained when I had strep throat.
