Just finished "Kick-Ass" and left empty. Why do we have to wait until the movie to know how it ends? That's lame-sauce.

It's an entertaining read. I thought it was going to be bloodier, but it's pretty over the top for a John Romita Jr. book. There's a lot of comic book references that your average reader will enjoy. There's even some covers of Amazing Fantasy 15, Avengers 4, etc. in one scene.

I give it a... BORROW at the very least. If a friend has it, read it. It's a good series to read, especially for those wanting to see the movie. It's only 7 issues long and reads real quickly.

Issue 8 just came out. It was an 8 issue run for the first series. I believe Millar intends the comic to be a trilogy. No idea when book two comes out. And yes, issue 8 wraps things up. So no waiting on the movie for how things end. If you're gonna do a review, do some research first.

    :?:
Did the research, rarely ever not look things up (my good name is on the line), but couldn't find when the last issue would come out. Read an internet message board where a fan was complaining that we had to wait to see the ending in theaters. Seemed sketchy and I should have asked the guy at my comic store when the last comic would come out. I apologize.

Thanks for the update. I'll be making a trip tomorrow to get it

Oh yeah, the book was pushed back a lot. It was supposed to be out in December, then early January, then finally last Wednesday. Thankfully it did come out. I was sick of people asking about it.

Diamond has a nice little section on their website about rescheduled books here: http://www.previewsworld.com/public/default.asp?t=2&m=1&c=6&s=451

It changes each week. I wish there was an archive.

I just finished G.I. Joe: Cobra

I had heard a lot of good things about this book, but never gave it much thought, most G.I. Joe books I have read have been rather lackluster so I figured the same for this one despite the good word of mouth. Still I had a little extra cash on me when I was at at the comic store the other day and decided to give it a shot anyways and it was just crazy good! It is quite possibly the best espionage story that I have had the pleasure of enjoying be it comic, movie or otherwise it was just that good. I give it my highest recommendation.

That's an awesome book, I read it in Hardcover and can't wait until the next one comes out.

I bought the Invincible Ultimate Collection Vol. 1 last week. My friend lent me The Complete Invincible Library Vol. 1 (Issues 1-24, FCBD, and 0 issue), plus trades 6-11. I just started on trade 7. I plan on picking up Ultimate Collection Vol. 2-4 soon. They look nicer on the shelf.

Check out S.H.I.E.L.D. from Marvel, if you get the chance. I have a very good feeling about this book.

The book is about the secret history of the Marvel Universe. Leonardo Da Vinci was that era's Tony Stark.
