Saruman_w 3 years 1 month ago Posts: 10803 Super Mod	Interesting umm.... picture... Anyway, you're running that off the LiveCD? I'm pretty sure you can install it directly to your harddrive and use GRUB to boot into it instead. Have you tried that? I'm sure things would run much faster that way.

I tried it, but my Windows drive is just not working, and Kanotix won't even start up if I put it in the laptop. Thus I can't install it to the harddrive. This laptop has 2 harddrives in it. The other one I used for all my downloads, and I do NOT want to lose that stuff. (years worth of stuff)

Any hardware issues that occurs is simply beyond the scope of its influence and is usually due to poor manufacturer or age. I would simply replace it if it becomes a problem.
