The latest grotesque delicacy to come from China is apparently dried puppy, demonstrating that in China the phrase “dog-lover” has an unfortunate additional nuance.

So what? Some Chinese have regarded dogs as food for years. It's just another meat. At least they kill it before eating it, unlike the Koreans and their live goldfish-swallowing. I don't eat dog myself but do eat kangaroo. I can picture some of you going, "Oh poor kangaroos, they're cute!" There's too many of them and their meat is extremely high in iron with no fat, and it's at my supermarket.

do you mean kangaroos? Because my Coles doesn't sell dog meat.

Kangaroo needs to be marinated because it has zero fat content and dries out if its baked. Stir-frys are good for it, but I have used it as a basis for bolognaise sauce. The meat is very dark red, purple almost, and tastes like aged beef. Very strong and flavoursome. Great for your health. My cat actually eats kangaroo meat and she's going great for an old girl.

Unfortunately there are too many kangaroos at the present time. They don't wander into people's yards or anything but in hordes, they strip bark off trees and kill them and can be very aggressive towards people. The hot dry conditions of late actuslly sparked a breeding frenzy with them. Kangaroos are known to attack without provocation and their main attack is disembowlment.

Why is it that once you have cartoon titties on a site, real titty pictures somehow become forbidden?

Outback restaurants serving 'Australian food' should be outlawed. They're full of awful stereotypes. Average Australians eat Thai, Italian, Greek and Chinese food commonly, and Japanese is popular too. We came from boring as hell English tastebuds and have very few cultural dishes except for lamingtons, vanilla slice, meat pies with sauce and sausages in bread... we're big seafood eaters too.

Aboriginal foods are different and hard to get. Hardly any of them eat their own foods like lemon myrtle seeds and witchety grubs. But kangaroo, that's good eating!

The Chinese have some sick fucks living in their county.

I shit you not. I use to live in an apartment near a Chinese restaurant. One day I heard several dog barking there while a truck was unloading some stuff.

That fucking shrimp on the barbie ad from the 1980's- thanks a lot Paul Hogan!
People here bbq prawns in their shells, not shrimps because they're too small. Also favourite foods for setting on fire- t-bone steaks, porterhouse steak, chicken wings and legs, fish of all types, sausages, lamb chops, pork ribs and chops.

I had a friend who lived in a 3rd floor apartment and he lugged a huge Beefmaster barbeque up the stairs to put on his balcony. He used to do all his cooking on it because his kitchen was minute. People here cook roasts in their bbq's. I guess you can say we like the taste of flame-grilled foods. Invite some friends over and set some flesh on fire!

I'd eat dog... I probably have and didn't know it. I've eaten frog, rabbit, the usual other meats... I mainly eat chicken and beef.

you probably can get it. In HK the chain shop Aji Ichiban sells dried everything else. I did like the satay dried cuttlefish. There were some things there without labels and I wasn't game to get a sample.

No. Dog and cat meat is illegal in Hong Kong.

Come on man... You were getting better! Why start necrobumping 2 year old threads? Especially when the person you are replying too no longer is on here...

I'm replying to what I feel I seriously need to reply to, not randomly necrobumping. Our posts are and will continue to be read by the entire internet. I was debating whether or not to post of here because I didn't want to bump it.

What's your problem, man? Is it really that big of a deal to make this sidenote in a two year old topic? You didn't "seriously need to reply to" this and the entire internet isn't reading our posts, much less severely outdated ones. Locking this, and please quit necrobumping.
