I'm a computer support specialist for Marine Corps Community Services on Okinawa, Japan. Our Management Information Systems branch is responsible for all MCCS computer equipment located on island, including networks, phone lines, point of sale registers, customer use and administrative PCs. Doesn't pay too much, doesn't pay too little....but that's fine. My wife makes the big bucks.
That sounds cool - Okinawa always makes me think of Karate Kid Part II.
I'm 26 (turning 27 soon) and I do web-based promotions for Ticketmaster Canada. It's an okay job allowing me lots of internet playtime, but I've got a degree collecting dust and want to work for the government, but alas it's impossible to get in.

Sad thing is, *NONE* of it was actually filmed here. The whole castle thing was silly. Okinawa has plenty of castle ruins, but the method in which they were constructed is completely different than what they used in the movie. Not to mention, they're made of a heavy grey stone, not a light colored sandstone (which doesn't happen to exist here). The house in the movie was almost completely made of shoji (paper with wood latice). Almost all the buildings here are made of solid concrete due to the frequency of typhoons. A paper wall wouldn't last here. Also, people don't freak out about typhoons like they did in the movie. They're pretty much no big deal...the kids go to the bowling alley or the movies. Traditional Okinawan attire also looks nothing like what they wore at the Bon-Odori, the drums they used were also more mainland than Okinawan, and, finally, you are NOT going to find those little drum thingers anywhere but possibly in a trinket shop that caters to American tourists. So now I have a new job. I'm working 2 days a week at a Namco Arcade at the mall. The pay is terrible, but I just don't care anymore. I basically stand around exchanging tickets for cheap plastic prizes or watching people suck at all the fps. And there's like a ton of fps for some reason. I'm not allowed to play the games while working, and I swear Virtua Cop 2 is calling out and mocking me.
