I'll check it out, but I take anything Keith Olberman says with a grain of salt.

Did you watch it, or instantly dismiss it as 'liberal left-wing socialist agenda trash'?

    Pssh fuck other people's lives.

I WANNA KEEP MAH HARD EARNED MONEY THAT I WAS BORN INTO! NOT SPREAD IT TO PEOPLE THAT NEED IT TO LIVE!

They shouldn't have decided to be poor. Then they wouldn't have this problem.

Yeah, he made good points on why healthcare needs to be reformed...but I think just about everyone agrees that healthcare needs a reform. It's the public option (government run healthcare) that people are clashing over. Olbermann used the typical defenses of the public option that I have heard many times before, "people should not be afraid of it", and "people who are worried about it are being misinformed". However, he didn't bring up any points to try and refute the worries that people are having over it. He basically was saying "don't worry, just trust the government on this one". That's the problem right there...people are having a very hard time trusting the government, because the government has a track record of screwing things up.

Oh yes, let's raise everyone's taxes so the people who don't work can get free money from the people who do.

If Mr. Bigbad Moneybags works so hard and gets so much money, surely he can't be afraid of having just a tad of it trickle down to those less fortunate, right? He should think of it as a charity donation of sorts. Unless of course Mr. Bigbad Moneybags thinks charities are bad too...

    Just sayin

I think the public option is a great idea, it's meeting half-way. It's not a full on socialised healthcare system, but it's not a completely run private system either.
That's the problem with the far right and the far left, nobody wants to meet half-way.

well apparently over 250,000 people with new cars via cash 4 gas/diesel guzzlers (refusing to call it clunkers) trusted the government, holy shit.

but yes I agree cash 4 gas/diesel guzzlers is a waste and stupid.

    B I N G O !

It's like two rival sports team fans. Team A is just gonna hate hate hate everything Team B is about and vice versa no matter what. Their loyalty is SO strong to their team that they won't listen to ANYTHING the other has to say and will even ruin relationships and purposely cause problems because of it.

That's what liberals/conservatives and Republicans/Democrats are. Two hyperactive sports teams and sports fan that refuse to get along. The difference is that it's not entertaining when they go head-to-head, it just creates more unsolved problems.

that is why i don't affiliate myself with any party. it seems like most people are fighting against the opposite party rather than debating on health care reform. however , this doesn't mean i'm a centerist, i am actually to the left of most democrats.
