Yeah, because there is more to schizofrenia than what many doctor's think they know, Curse those Damn Anti-Depressant and Anti-Anxiety Drug's as well.

Indeed, I stopped taking anti depressants because there made me feel blunt and emotionless. Also a differnt kind I used be called Effexor gave me nightmares every night and made me feel extremely suicidal.

I hear cocaine can ease the symptoms of depression, at least momentarily. Unfortunately your penis will simply be for show if you can get the good stuff, fortunately that won't be a problem for most of the people around here.

I smoke alot of grass, and I also like hallucinogens such as LSD and psychoactive mushrooms.

I wouldn't recommend sex, drugs or insanity for everyone, but they've always worked for me.

Never done drugs unless you count alcohol and cigarettes. I think a person should be strong enough to get by without any. I think drugs are always (unless medicinal use) a way to escape your the normal reality and I see using drugs as a major weakness. Trying them out is humane but sticking to them, I don't have respect for people like that.

You are looking at experimentation the wrong way. Sure people abuse drugs as a form of escapism, but a good few of us take drugs to explore new heights. You can't really describe it until you actually try it. Hallucinating is like any other experience, such as a rock climbing or scuba diving, you just take certain precautions to have a safe experience.

And if you don't want to do drugs, don't. Just don't take away my freedom to do them as I please. :D

I hardly think that the words I wrote take away your freedom of doing anything. Just my opinion, don't take it personally. I don't think you have to have experience of something to have an opinion about it. I've never been to war but I still don't like wars. So, get as high as you might but don't take away my freedom to state my opinions :)

Of course. Sorry, I just go off on tangents when we talk about these kinds of things. I was actually pretty sure you respected our experimentation lol.

Like they say in mafioso movies, don't worry about it. I get like that when there's a religion talk on some board. People get so offensive and it often gets really nasty. So you have my blessing to experiment all you want. 8)

PS. Off-topic question, why are all the emoticons green? Is that a homage to the foursome living in the sewers of N.Y? If so, they should definitely have bandanas.

Self-administration of narcotics, hallucinogens and opiates is really no different than that of nicotine or alcohol, other than the legal ramifications. Think about it, cigarettes and alcohol are used for a desired pharmacological effect just like marijuana and LSD. Just because cigarettes and booze are legal for adults to use doesn't mean they're any better for you or more respectable than other drugs are.

Any moral stigma attached to drug use is simply perceived, it is just a matter of perspective.

I wrote a long comment to this but then deleted it as I just don't want to get there again. To me it's pointless and I have no reason to defend my dont-do-drugs policy. Let's just say that on a saturday night on town I'd rather confront a guy smoking a cigarette than a stoner. And to me a smoker and a drug addict are a very different thing, I don't care if a smoke is a narcotic or whatever. Or coffee for that matter.

I wasn't "attacking" your don't-do-drugs policy, staying away from drugs is a healthy choice. I was disagreeing with the idea that some substances are ok just because of collective perception. (kinda like how many people think it's ok to kill chickens food, but not seals because they're cute)

I work with a lot of smokers, drinkers, some potheads and a couple of meth-heads, a smoker IS a drug addict. Seriously, work in a stressful environment with a person who's trying to quit smoking and you'll see they don't act much differently than a herion addict at a methadone clinic. It's not simple irritability, it's legitimate physical withdrawal, caused by addiction to a drug.

What is it about smoking that makes it better than doing illegal drugs? It's just as addictive, even more so than some drugs, it causes just as much damage to your body as other drugs, they are even more tempting to young people than most drugs.

I think cigarettes are even worst because you can have one in every corner in front of anybody without violating any law (unless a non smoking area)... that persuades the young people starting to experiment and harder to those who want to quit.

In my case it was harder to leave smoking cigarettes than pot (though I still light up a spliff sometiems)
