More and More I Start To Hate This Dump.

Deleted 3 years 7 months ago Posts: 54340	This place has become a joke. The mods don't even moderate the forum properly. They rely wholly on pressing a button to solve a situation. No talking things over. Just a click and its done. The owner shows that he really doesn't give a damn anymore. He wants nothing to with the posters. Meanwhile, he's making money off of copy write infringement with the images and videos on the site. He even puts a watermark with the sites logo on the videos. Like he made them. Users are getting banned without any clear reasoning. Some of the reasons are just plain insulting. This isn't because of the Legion or because of Reaper's little group. Its because of the mods. The mods have forgotten their jobs. To the mods reading this: Talk things over with the offender. Banning should be the last resort. Banning should ONLY be done when its harmful to the forum. Not because you lack the social skills to do so.

Seriously, WTF was Vertex thinking when they hired these guys as mods?!? They do such a poor job at modding, NEVER giving alts a chance, and worst of all they ban people for the stupidest reasons. Adventure_of_link, Caps 2.0, and all of the other crappy mods on this site, you guys suck. There, I said it. Always banning people for the stupidest reasons, I have had it with you. If only Vertex would get his lazy butt on this site and actually give a single crap, then he would have them demodded already.

On another note, vertex was/is cracking down on alts, and caps did NOT do a doggone thing. So PLEASE get your facts straight before running with the e-tonsils. Final note: NOW do you see why all the inconsistencies in modship and why some users are dropping out and why some trolls were left to do their thing? It's because we banned them, FOR A REASON, and you all bitch and moan.

And I'm willing to bet anything Saruman's IP (or anyone else's that's work, school, public wifi, etc based) is shared too by everyone else on it. I used to take Cisco classes. No offense Saruman, but we need to get away from the fact that everyone is on dialup and open your mind that most people are on broadband.. There's plenty to learn about it too, dude. Even I had to when I first got zoomtown four years ago. Also, this doesn't excuse the fact that both people typed the same way. On a final note, on a broadband network, everyone is connected to the same router/modem. While everyone connected to it gets a unique IP (in the form of 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x), the IP the Internet sees will be shared amongst everyone on the same LAN (and will be radically different from the LAN IP.) it's actually sort of how AOL works, and that's dial-up (except your dialup modem will have AOL's proxy IP instead of a LAN one.)

Jason43 3 years 7 months ago Posts: 1799 Account Disabled	I remember in my day as a mod here, you could look at a users IP address and it would tell you who it was shared by. Almost every user shared an IP with at least one other person, sometimes several, which is why an IP ban was a last resort. Almost always, you'd end up banning an unrelated account. I assume this feature no longer works?

Again, I wish he'd have the option to make nick and IP bans at our disposal. To riphard and vkimo, vertex pm'ed me earlier and said your IPs were gone and to salty and mezase master, I forgot about you two for some reason I sent another PM to undo the bans on you guys as well.
