I don't think censorship could ever be justified, simply put.

Not even if there is video of little kids being molested on TV? There always has to be some.

In what context? Did someone hijack a TV channel signal and somehow transmit a video of them screwing little kids? I really don't think that's a realistic thing to happen.

If you don't like it, you just switch the channel.

You have a choice to get satellite or cable TV which shouldn't be censored. However just about anything other than shit, fuck and nudity is allowed on TV. Maybe you could give me some examples of what you want to see on TV that isn't already shown? I hate how movies are over censored on off air TV. However it's the movie company doing it not the FCC. Many of those movies were cut 20 years ago when less was allowed on TV.

I actually blame the rating systems for movies and TV being censored more than anything. They censor movies to prevent an NC-17 rating and in some cases an R rating and TV shows are especially in syndication are so they can be shown at any time of day in the different markets.

I guess I agree with you in theory, but just letting anything go on TV would be a bad idea.

You think the MPAA are being harsh! The BBFC (British equivelant of the MPAA) seem to enjoy editing films to shreds. The original TMNT film - about 3 minutes removed to get a PG rating. UNDER SIEGE 2 - 2 minutes removed to get an 18 (yes, an 18, no one under 18 allowed, parent or no parent). ******* stupid.

It wasn't all that long ago that children were allowed to spectate at public executions, hell they even participated in stonings! Violence is the very foundation of a good action movie, every child should be able to see someone getting blowed up or even a cat and mouse setting each other on fire.

I think the lack of viewers would prevent such a thing.

You think so? Next time you're on youtube check out a youtube channel of a kid that's pretty popular. Look at their subscribers. It will make you sick how many of them are old and how many other kids they subscribe to. Look at their favorites and what videos they like. You'll see videos of kids in their underwear and with their shirts off in their favorites. My point is there are more sick people out there than we want to believe.

Those girls dancing around in their underwear on youtube are hardly "little kids".

Although I agree with most people (specifically some of what bassman, Matt, and pirateninja said), we shouldn't go too far out of the way (like soccer moms) to find every little thing wrong and cry over it.

Seriously, STOP being so prudish, America. Ugh.
