A lot of the same crap they talk about now. Things haven't really changed as much as we'd like to think they have.

Story-telling. Y'know how else do you think Snow White, Cinderella, Hansel & Gretel, Jack & The Beanstalk, Sleeping Beauty, Robin Hood, etc came about?

Oh and lots of filthy, unprotected sex. Fuck Yeah!
Tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with no air?

you didn't need a tv back in the day. they still had parties, alcohol, gossip/rumors, sports, work and the opposite sex all to talk about.

today's the same shit, but now there's just more bells and whistles on the toilet.

In stone age they talk about techniques/special moves on how to bust open a woman's head and win her love.

In middle age on how to change a torture chamber into a love nest.

In Renaissance about the effect of chiaroscuro in a love-hate relationship

In the age of enlightment on reasons to bitch-slap an unfaithful woman or husband.

In the industrial revolution on making large amount of freaky adult theme items.

In contemporary/modern age on how to protect oneself from STD's but still enjoy some debauchery.

:DDuring World War 2 People talked about Movie star gossip, what was happening on Radio soap operas(Yes they had soap operas then too!) You could actually sent for Movie Star autographs in the mail. people talked about their boys who were overseas fighing the war, getting B ration stamps for meat, and gas,(There were shortages during the war), baseball, boxing(Popular back then), or the latest record from Benny Goodman, or Frank Sanatra(It was the age of Big Bands and Crooners.) Times were a little different then they are today.

Mostly I would imagine that the talks would be of family and regular things; news that was acutally good enough to read.

Seems that old saying was wrong. What a terrible thread to bump.
